Decision Makers: Practical Application

Participants utilize a mock investigative report to practice skills. This module is practical and experiential in nature and provides a deeper dive for participants into the role of the decision-maker. Participants build skills on making relevancy determination, asking questions, and writing the decision/outcome letter.

• Decorum and managing the process

• Breaking down the policy into elements

• Developing questions for parties and witnesses 

• Cross examination: relevancy determinations and articulation of rulings

• Evidentiary considerations and evidence analysis

NOTE: There is a $700 fee per institution for this training and 1/4/23 training (as many individuals from institution can attend). Session will be recorded for those who cannot attend
