Governor Rick Snyder has declared September 23-29 Michigan Independent Colleges and Universities Week. Through a Proclamation, the Governor recognized the tremendous value of MICU member institutions, including:

  • Offering an average 11 to 1 rate of return on a bachelor’s degree after just five years

  • More than 80 percent of graduates from Michigan’s independent colleges and universities choose to live and work in the state after graduation

  • Provide individualized support and customized education for all learners
